He has planned and implemented numerous communication programs and campaigns, developed sponsorship policies relating to 143 government departments in his State, initiated employee recognition programs in companies and government organizations. After writing several editions of a self-published PR textbook due to a lack of suitable material in the marketplace, Kim was approached by international publisher, Palgrave Macmillan, to write the 900-page textbook, Strategic Public Relations, which has been used in a range of Australian university PR courses.
Kim has also received several international media relations awards and a website award. His articles have been quoted in The New York Times and various other news media, as well as by communicators around the world.

Kim has also served as the CEO of Crime Stoppers non-profit organization in 2014-17. This unique community service enables members of the public to make an anonymous phone or online report about suspicious activity or unsolved crime. As CEO, Kim’s main role was to highlight the service to the public and gain media coverage on crime-related matters, linking closely with his knowledge of issues and crisis management developed during his career.
Such contacts from the community have helped police identify drug labs and dealers, catch wanted fugitives, solve arson, thefts and robberies, and apprehend criminals wanted for violent assaults and murders.
About 50% of police intelligence information in Kim’s State originates from Crime Stoppers, and half of these reports are about drug crime.
Overall, Kim believes good communication and productive relationships are essential in all our lives. He has taken a lifelong interest in learning about communication and helping to strengthen people’s communication knowledge and application so they can achieve personal and professional success.
